Opinel Knife N°09 Oysters
The oyster knife for shellfish lovers.
With its short and pointed blade, which is sharp only at the point, this pocket oyster knife is effective at opening cupped and flat oysters. Padouk handle is moisture resistant. Take it with you to the beach or give it as a Christmas gift.
Stainless steel is an alloy of steel. The addition of chromium increases its corrosion resistance. Stainless steel does not require much maintenance.
Padouk is a dense African wood with a fine grain. Its color varies from purple-brown to pink with purple veins.
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all N° 06 folding knives. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
