Opinel Knife N°08 Olive Wood.
N°08 with a touch of Mediterranean sun
The unique olive wood grain gives our Savoyard knife a Mediterranean feel. A classic for those who love this characteristic wood.
It offers excellent cutting quality. The safety ring allows the user to work without any risk.
We use modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chromium and does not require special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives an excellent cutting edge. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC.
The mythical tree of the Mediterranean! This hardwood has a yellow to orange appearance and has a dense and often sinuous grain. Soft to the touch has a nice polish.
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all N° 06 folding knives. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
